Ryan Archibald (born 1 September 1980 in Auckland) is a field hockey player from New Zealand, who earned his first cap for the national team, nicknamed The Black Sticks, in 1997 against Malaysia. The midfielder was disappointed not to play in the 2004 Summer Olympics, after breaking his tibia two months earlier. He's the son of former field hockey international Jeff Archibald. In the summer of 2006 he chose to play for Dutch club HC Rotterdam, as a replacement for Canada's Rob Short.
